United States Racquet Stringers Association - Lab Testing

Tier One Sports strings provide exceptional performance ON and OFF the court: Besides great reviews from our customers we now received an important quantitative data point about our strings as well- TENSION STABILITY. Bob Patterson from the USRSA (United States Racquet Stringers Association) provides their readers with a comprehensive list of tennis string lab test results for string stiffness and tension stability. Bob was kind enough to test all of Tier One Sports strings as well.

Although it is only a small data point, tension stability is an important aspect of a tennis string. Polyester based strings are known for loosing their tension quickly. Thus, this aspect becomes even more important for this type of string. We are happy to announce that, besides Durafluxx 18g, all  our strings held their tension in the lab setting extremely well when compared to approx. 320 other strings that are currently on the market:

Firewire 17g had with 13.85 lbs the 7th least tension loss of all strings. Black Knight 16g and Tour Status 16g followed very closely with 14.99lbs and 14.66 lbs respectively. For a complete overview please look below:

In addition, many of our poly strings are not overly stiff either which could help to prevent arm injuries. In fact, Black Knight and Strike Force RIP are one of the best poly strings in this category!
